MJ Insurance, one of the nation’s largest privately-held insurance agencies with more than five decades of success, is moving its Indianapolis headquarters to a new building to be built in Carmel offering a more expansive space allowing for future growth in a collaborative and flexible workplace.

With a planned move-in date of July 2018, MJ Insurance will relocate from its current Precedent Office Park location to the highly-desirable and popular Midtown District of Carmel. The new space will be located along the future Monon Boulevard, which is currently undergoing a large expansion and is expected to be completed at the same time as MJ’s office relocation.
The expanded Monon Greenway will serve a rapidly growing Midtown redevelopment area where the city is collaborating with private developers to create a new, vibrant corridor connecting the City Center and Arts & Design District. A popular hub for urban activity, an average of 300,000 people run, walk or bike the Monon Greenway each year. Neighborhood green spaces, arts plazas and more will bring the region to life embodying ideal work-life connectivity.
The MJ Insurance building is being developed by Carmel-based Old Town Development and the building’s owner is Indianapolis-based Ambrose Property Group.

MJ’s new 30,000-square-foot headquarters, and its innovative and activity based design, will ideally fit into this unique cultural area. MJ’s new office interior design is far from a typical insurance office. Vibrant and bright color schemes with cross-functional and collaborative areas fuse with innovative technology and flexible workspaces for an environment conducive for productivity with a creative flair. All of MJ’s 135 Indiana employees will work in the new facility.

Last fall, MJ Insurance moved its Phoenix office to a new, larger, contemporary space along the business-focused Camelback Road Corridor. Like MJ’s plans in Carmel, the Phoenix office is flexible, brightly lit with pops of color and highly tech focused with room to expand.
