Norma Jane Crook, 86, Noblesville, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018 at The Lodge Assisted Living in Noblesville. She was born on October 14, 1931 to Clarence and Ruby (Leonard) Burger in Noblesville.
Jane was a 1949 graduate of Noblesville High School and a life-long member of First Christian Church of Noblesville, where she was active in the Christian Women’s Fellowship and Church Choir. She was a member of the Monte Rays club of the Hamilton County Extension Homemakers, Silver Notes Choral Club, numerous Noblesville Bowling Leagues and the Hamilton County Historical Society. Jane and her husband, Bob, owned and operated the Forest Park Inn in the late 50s and 60s. After Bob’s retirement, he and Jane enjoyed traveling and frequently included their family. Jane also loved gardening and was a member of the Noblesville Horticulture Club.
She is survived by her sons, Randy (Bev) Crook and Spencer Crook; daughter, Wendy (David) Coles; daughter-in-law, Diane Crook; eight grandchildren, Jeremy (Brandy) Crook, Tim (Ashley) Crook, Kelsey (Gabe) Schneider, Heather Matthew, Erika (Adam) Wiles, Brendon (Miranda) Crook, Derek Coles and Lauren Coles; 10 great-grandchildren; brother- and sister-in-law, Mark and Kim Crook; sisters-in-law, Janet Crook and Bev McGee; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. “Bob” Crook, whom she married on June 21, 1953; son, Robert Bradley Crook; and great-grandson, James T. Crook.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 28, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
