The City of Fishers on Wednesday unveiled major renovations to the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater as part of a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The new stage was designed deeper to allow for larger musical acts and theater performances.
A new sound wall was designed to help improve the listening experience by pushing sound into the crowd.
A new pavilion includes meeting space that can hold more than 40 people. A new fountain on the south side of the pavilion features 24 water jets plus seating.
The amphitheater holds a summertime farmers market through Sept. 29. The venue is located at 6 Municipal Drive, just east of the city’s library branch and north of City Hall.
