County Emergency Management challenges you to prepare for disaster

After an emergency, you may need to survive on your own for several days by sheltering in place. Being prepared means having your own food, water and other supplies to last for at least 72 hours. Your challenge is to build a kit in 30 days. See the suggestions on the calendar above to help build your kit. After 30 days, submit photos of you and your kit. Post your photos using #PrepareNow on the Hamilton County Emergency Management Facebook page. Three winners will be announced on Facebook on Oct. 1. Radios must be picked up at the County Emergency Management office no later than Oct. 8. Also, don’t forget to download the Emergency Management app for alerts and instant notification regarding disasters.
