The Fishers volleyball team swept Anderson on Tuesday, winning 25-6, 25-9, 25-8.
Senior Rose Duffy hit eight kills and handed out 20 assists on the night. Jada Allen put down seven kills; both she and Duffy finished with perfect hitting percentages. Haley Soper had four kills, with five other Tiger players hitting three kills.
Sophomore Mikayla Christiansen hit eight aces, with seven of them coming in the second set. Ten Fishers players had at least one dig, with Duffy and Emma Rosenberg both getting four.
Hamilton Southeastern swept host Harrison 25-10, 25-16, 25-23 on Tuesday, improving its record to 9-2.
The Royals were led by Abby Weber with eight kills and three aces. Taylor Shelton had seven kills and Grace Hunter had six kills. Olivia Phillips handed out 24 assists and Delaney Garner had a strong night at the net with 3.5 blocks.
On Saturday, the Royals played two matches at the Floyd Central Showcase.
First, Southeastern fell to No. 2-ranked Providence in four sets, 25-16, 25-19, 23-25, 25-19. Grace Hunter put down 18 kills, while Delaney Garner and Taylor Shelton both hit 12. Carly Mills collected 13 digs and Olivia Phillips handed out 38 assists.
The Royals then swept Floyd Central 25-14, 25-16, 25-19. Garner and Hunter both spiked 10 kills, while Mills had 17 digs and Phillips dished out 29 assists.
Hamilton Heights beat Alexandria 25-23, 28-26, 15-25, 25-18 on Monday. Hannah Crist and Kennedy Lewis both had a good hitting match, with Crist putting down 17 kills and Lewis hitting 15 kills. Carlie Ward made 22 digs.
Heights coach Steve Ward was happy with how his girls finished the match tonight and with the leadership of his seniors, saying that the team is moving in the right direction. Ward was happy with the way freshman setter Kelsey Smith handled the ball that night. Ward thinks if the Huskies would have had this type of consistency, they may have a couple more wins. Heights challenged Mt. Vernon, which is a very strong program.

On Tuesday, the Huskies lost to Frankton 25-22, 25-20, 25-17. Crist hit six kills in the final two sets, while Smith served two aces in the first set.
Noblesville lost a tough match to Lafayette Central Catholic at The Mill on Tuesday, 17-25, 28-26, 25-19, 17-25, 15-13.
Lexie Almodovar hit a school record 35 kills, also making 19 digs and two blocks. Rose Crist had 14 kills, 13 digs and two blocks. Kayla Thompson collected 23 digs and served two aces, while Ava Nichols dished out 58 assists.
“Right now we’re still a really young team and there’s a lot of times when we play young on the court,” said Millers coach Steve Hawthorne. “This team’s got a lot of promise, but we’re going to need a little more time together before it all falls in place.”
Westfield swept Lawrence North in straight sets Monday, 25-20, 26-24, 25-21.
Kenzie Daffinee put down 13 kills, while Kinsey McAfee hit 12 kills, made 15 digs and served four aces. Anna Johnsey made three blocks, Sarah Weglarz handed out 29 assists.
On Monday, Sheridan fell to Tri-West 25-13, 25-4, 25-11. Maddie Zola handed out five assists and served one ace. Cheyenne Brooks also had one ace. Becca Merritt made five blocks, Allie Delph hit four kills and Olivia Raines collected seven digs.
Carmel was a perfect 4-0 at the Mishawaka Invitational on Saturday, bringing home the championship trophy.
The Greyhounds beat Northwestern 25-9, 23-25, 15-8 and Warsaw 25-13, 25-18 and South Bend St. Joseph 25-21, 25-19 to go 3-0 in pool play. In the championship match, Carmel defeated Elkhart Memorial in three sets, 21-25, 25-18, 15-11.
Senior Elana Brueggemann was named to the All-Tournament team. She totaled 39 kills over the four matches. Lauren Van Remortel dished out 62 assists for the event. Sophie Oliphant made 49 digs, while Anne Lesure had 31 digs.
The ‘Hounds are 7-3 for the season.
