Elaina Page scored both goals in the second half. Makena Trew assisted Page on her first goal, with Alyssa Irwin making the assist on the second goal.
“It was a very tough, physical game and well-played by both sides,” said Heights coach Travis Kauffman. “The score was 0-0 at halftime with HH scoring their goals 10 and 20 minutes into the second half. The HH offense created more opportunities as the game went as they began to adjust to University’s aggressive and swarming defense. The HH defense played another great game earning their fourth shutout in six games. They were tested frequently with University’s attacks and speed but held up. Goalie Alyssa Irwin had eight saves.”
On Saturday, University beat Muncie Burris 5-0 in a Pioneer Conference game. Halle Von Ah scored two goals, one of them off of a corner kick that she bent into the back of the net. Tessa Hudson also scored two goals and Kenzie Allen put the last goal in.
Lilly Snyder made three assists, with Lillian Klemsz handing out one.
