The Westfield girls cross country team raced in the Dave Bannon Invitational Sunday at Franklin Central.
The Shamrocks placed fourth out of seven teams. Franklin Central won with 44 points, followed by Bloomington North 58, Columbus North 77, Westfield 89, Zionsville 122, Terre Haute South 137 and Greencastle 183.
Sophomore Sarah Coates led the Shamrocks, placing 10th in a time of 20:12.37. Morgen Houck finished 16th in 20:31.95, while Julia Clark placed 20th in 20:39.04. Other top Westfield runners were: 21. Sophie Porter 20:41.43, 22. Kyla Curtis 20:49.87, 24. Christy Ann Delahunty 20:55.01, 25. Sophia Brown 20:55.62, 36. Jasmine Herrell 21:34.35, 38. Sydney Clifford 21:37.20, 41. Alyssa Schleper 21:53.70 and 42. Ellie Ketcham 21:57.48.
The boys race was canceled due to lightning.
