The Westfield boys tennis team lost a close match to Brebeuf Jesuit 3-2 on Wednesday.
No. 2 singles Quentin Markle and the No. 2 doubles team of WeiBin Cheah and Alex Mullet both won in straight sets. No. 1 singles Connor Maris and the No. 1 doubles team of Nicholas Mabe and Harrison Sindelar both lost in three sets.
“The team had their chances but came up a little short against a very good team,” said Shamrocks coach Tony Peters.
