Cross country: Fishers girls, HSE boys win at Arabian Round-up

Two Hamilton County teams were winners at the Pendleton Heights Arabian Cross Country Round-up on Wednesday.
In the girls race, Fishers edged out Hamilton Southeastern 34-36 for the team trophy. The Tigers had four of the top seven, with Emma Gillespie taking third, and Tessa Kraft, Abby Carter and Vera Schafer finishing 5-6-7.
The Royals’ Lulu Black was the individual winner, finishing the race in 19:18.06. Lilly Cummins finished second, while Ellie Pedersen took 10th.
Southeastern’s boys team won the team trophy in that division, scoring 52 points. Pendleton was the runner-up with 61. The Royals had four runners in the top 10: Grant Wilson was sixth, Eric Carothers eighth, Jacob Wiggers ninth and Eric Swinson 10th.

Noblesville’s girls cross country team won the Harrison 9-Way meet on Tuesday.
Bella Sharples-Gordon led a top four sweep for the Millers, winning the race in a time of 19:59. Aubrey Swart placed second (20:02), followed by Madison King in third (20:04) and Sophie Reichard in fourth (20:09). Other Noblesville places: Taylor Gregory seventh (20:38), Anna Hazelrigg 10th (21:30), Sophie Stahl (12th) (21:35) and Gracie Miller 16th (22:16).
