Richard “Dick” Versprille, Sr.

October 9, 1936 – August 17, 2018

Richard “Dick” Versprille, Sr., Noblesville, passed away on August 17, 2018 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Tipton.

He was born October 9, 1936 in Maumee, Ohio, to Alphonse Joseph and Pearl Evelyn (Butler) Versprille.

Dick, as he was fondly known, was self-employed in a freight delivering occupation, owning and driving a semi-truck throughout the United States.

Leisure time found him enjoying spending time with his family and watching Colts and Pacer games.  He also was a NASCAR fan.

He married Jackie (Hord) Versprille on June 22, 1957.  She preceded him in death on October 4, 1997.  In addition to his wife, he also was preceded in death by his parents and a son-in-law, Tony Neiling.

Surviving him are two sons, Rich (Karen) Versprille, Arcadia; and Rob (Deanna) Versprille, Noblesville; two daughters, Sue Neiling and Tammy (Andy) Miller, both of Arcadia; a brother, Alphonse Versprille, Maumee, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Tony Neiling, Celina Versprille, Heather Trump, Luke Versprille, Vanessa Emery, Amanda Williams, Kassi McGrath, Dylan Versprille, Faith Miller and Drew Miller; and 16 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Miller’s Merry Manor and their staff for the excellent care and compassion.

Private graveside rites will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 50 E. 91st St., Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46209-4830.
