The City of Westfield will soon hold a public information meeting regarding the proposed extension of East Street in northern Westfield. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 28 at the Department of Public Works Office, 2706 E. 171st St.
According to Westfield officials, the format of the meeting will feature a formal presentation at 6 p.m. with an informal open house session immediately following.
The open house session will provide the public with an opportunity to view project displays and to interact with the project team.
The purpose of this public information meeting is to obtain the public’s views regarding the purpose and need for the new roadway and the alternatives evaluated as part of the ongoing environmental process.
The public will be afforded the opportunity to provide comments on the information presented at the meeting for a period of 14 days following the meeting.
