Girls golf: Ninth-ranked Royals win the Mudsock meet

The Hamilton Southeastern girls golf team won the Mudsock meet Tuesday at Gray Eagle Golf Club.
The No. 11-ranked Royals carded a team score of 165 to Fishers’ 196. HSE’s Chelsea Morrow was the meet medalist with a 36. Other Southeastern scores were Julia Eaton 41, Mara Wilson 43, Maggie Watson 45, Ashley Marcinko 49 and Payton Schechter 56.
Kaitlyn Brunnemer led the Tigers with a 42. Other Fishers scores were Haley Gausepohl 48, Caitlyn Kim 50, Kaelyn Tai 56, Lilly McVey 57 and Ellie Metzger 69.

Carmel, ranked third in the state, won a three-team meet with No. 7 Westfield and Noblesville on Tuesday.
The Greyhounds carded 158 to the Shamrocks’ 163 and the Millers’ 208. Ava Hedrick led Carmel with a 38, followed by Katie Kuc and Nina Hecht each with 39s. Elizabeth Hedrick scored 42, Ella Woods had 44 and Sydney Longstreth scored 49.
Jocelyn Bruch led Westfield with a 37, giving her medalist honors. Natalie Shupe was next for the ‘Rocks with a 38. Grace Snyder scored 40, followed by Megan Barker 48, Cate Jensen 49 and Brette Hanavan 53.
Taylor Caldwell led Noblesville with 49, followed by Ellie Karst 51, Sarah Brenneman 52 and Mia Sommervold 56.

Noblesville’s junior varsity team played Zionsville on Monday, falling 193-216.
Sydney Peck led the Millers with a 49, followed by Rylee Kendall 54, Alexi Curts 56, Erin Burt 57, Amanda Packard 58, Bergan Zebrauskas 60, and Lillie Crum 68.
