Carmel firefighters were called to a water rescue for a car in a pond Monday night, just a few days after they wrapped up their annual water rescue training.
Every firefighter went through the training that was held at the Hamilton County Training Center. They worked on dropping a life jacket to someone in the water using a drone and flipping over an overturned boat.
They also worked on a scenario where a fisherman called in about two people in the water. The responding firefighters did not have a boat, so they used the fisherman’s boat and had to decide how to proceed with the rescue with limited space available on the boat.
