Marlin and Beverly Moore celebrated 50 years of marriage with friends and family this past July. Over the past 50 years the love for each other, their children and community has grown deeper and bigger than you can imagine.
Marlin and Beverly Moore fell in love in Westfield. This young love bloomed into a loving family of five and lasting friendships that have overflowed to their community. Over the past years, they have devoted themselves to giving back to those in need, whether it be through church or other community organizations.
This year as Marlin and Beverly celebrated with their children, friends and family, they asked for no gifts as they feel they already have what they need – love. So, they asked those who attended to celebrate them through giving to others in need.
See, these families need help with other items that food stamps won’t purchase – such as personal products and cleaning supplies – basically the non-food items that food stamps don’t provide. The friends and family did not let them down. They provided enough to be taken to two of the trustees, both of whom were equally excited for the deliveries.
The joy that it brings to this loving couple and those who have given cannot be put into words. They encourage everyone to do a little something here and there, and in the end, it is the love and charity that brings family and friends together.
Marlin and Beverly ask that if you are reading this, the next time you go to the store, pick up extra items you would use daily and provide them to the trustee or food bank in your area and to know that you made a difference in somebody’s life.
