County golfers compete in Central Junior Masters

Several Hamilton County junior golfers competed in the Central Junior Masters, which took place earlier this week at Royal Hyldans Golf Club in Knightstown.
Noblesville’s Danny Paris, a Cathedral graduate, finished tied for second in the boys division with a two-day score of 146. That included a two-under par 69 for his second round, which included three birdies; he had five birdies in the first round.
Jacob Deakyne, a senior-to-be at Noblesville, finished fourth by scoring 147. Deakyne also had a two-under 69 for his second round, where he made five birdies. He also had two birdies in the first round.
Other top 10 Hamilton County finishers included Carmel’s Sam Booth tying for sixth, Luke Mattingly and Caleb Bopp, both from Fishers, tying for eighth, and Carmel’s Shoji Fujita tying for 10th.
Carmel’s Sophie McGinnis tied for fifth in the girls division, with Guerin Catholic junior-to-be Angelica Pfefferkorn tying for eighth.
