On Saturday morning, the Cicero Christian Church, 1715 Stringtown Pike, was the site of a community breakfast and silent auction. Thanks to the Kiwanians seen above (plus one who was camera shy) over 160 people attended the event during the final day of the Lights Over Morse Lake Festival. “We wanted to honor first responders in our community,” Kiwanis Club of Cicero Secretary Dottie Carlson told The Reporter. “We want to show them our appreciation for all they do. I got together with the Emergency Management Group, who talked to our first responders to ask them to show up. We offered them a complimentary breakfast and gave them a little appreciation bag to thank them for coming.”
