Green Scene Lawn and Pest Control shows its support for local military families

Green Scene Lawn and Pest Control of Noblesville has partnered with Project EverGreen to participate in the GreenCare for Troops program.

This program, launched in 2007, offers landscape and lawn care services to currently deployed military personnel, post-9/11 service-connected wounded or disabled veterans and their families free of charge. It has assisted over 10,000 military families and counting,

Along with other lawn care companies in the United States, Green Scene Lawn and Pest will donate its time and service to lessen the burden on military families and disabled/wounded veterans who need assistance with landscape and lawn care.

Cindy Code, executive director of Project EverGreen, stated, “With more than 160,000 active-duty U.S. military personnel deployed in 150 countries across the globe, and significant numbers of wounded and disabled veterans, the need to support the families of those holding down the home front is significant.”

“We are proud to support our military by participating in the GreenCare for Troops program. We have sponsored several families in the past and we currently have a family in Indianapolis area that we are working with for Project Evergreen,” said Todd Crow of Green Scene Lawn and Pest Control. “This is the least we could do to thank someone who has put their life on the line for our country and our safety.”

Interested military families or qualifying disabled veterans are encouraged to register for the GreenCare for Troops program. More information is available online at ProjectEverGreen.org or by calling Ki Matsko at 888-611-2955.
