Herald Demaree, 91, of rural Atlanta, died last weekend.
He was a retired Department of Natural Resources employee.
He was a veteran of World War II. For many years he served on the Hamilton County Cemetery Commission.
He also owned a farm where he and his wife, the late Geraldine Nightenhelser Demaree, had lived until until her death.
Mr. Demaree is survived by a son, Kirk Demaree.
