Parents, students and staff were invited into the school Tuesday for counseling and to pick up belongings, but this is the first day back to classes.

West is operating on a two-hour delay this week with a focus on counseling and team building.

Students were greeted Wednesday morning by counselors, principals and teachers. Elementary counselors and principals were there to provide more familiar faces. Principals from Westfield, Hamilton Heights and Carmel were also on site to offer additional support and to greet students.

Over 50 counselors are at West this week supporting students. There are also therapy dogs.

The Noblesville Police Department is providing an increased presence at all Noblesville schools this week to give extra reassurance to staff, students and parents.
