Joan Cline Holdeman passed away February 9, 2018 at the age of 94. She was born August 12, 1923 to Everett Stroud and Freeda Randall. She was a 1942 graduate of Sheridan High School. On September 12, 1942 she married Harold E. Cline and they were married until his death in January 2006. On August 28, 2011 she married Robert Holdeman and he survives. Joan was a full-time wife and mother who loved sewing and baking. She was a 70-year member of the Methodist Church and she was much loved by her family.
Joan is survived by her husband, Robert; daughters, Terry Logan (Jim), Denise Knoop (Rick), Jan Metzler (Bob); grandchildren, Brian Logan (Wanda), Jamie Mix (Ron), Aimee Crowe (Jason), Sarah Svec (Chris), Hillary Dickson (Tim), Emmalee Metzler; nine great-grandchildren; and her niece, Suzie Pugh.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Cline; son, Jeffrey Cline; daughter, Julie Cline; her mother, Freeda Jessup; her father, Everett Stroud; sister, Myrle Van Metre; and by her brother, Mervyn Stroud.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Crown View Cemetery in Sheridan.
Memorial contributions may be presented to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kercheval Funeral Home in Sheridan.
