Edgar Marion Marsh

July 7, 1940 – May 17, 2018

Edgar Marion Marsh, 77, Noblesville (formerly of Moraine City, Ohio) went to be with his Lord on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Maple Park Village in Westfield, surrounded by his family. The eldest of three sons, he was born July 7, 1940 to Jacob Warren and Gladys Edna (Morgan) Marsh in Dayton, Ohio. He was a dedicated son, spending much time caring for his mother after the death of his father in 1969.

He attended West Carrollton Schools before beginning his career in the 1960s with Coca-Cola in Dayton. He then moved on to become a certified technician with Porsche, Audi and Volkswagen at Century Porsche-Audi and White Allen Automotive in the Dayton area. He was an active member of the City of Moraine, Ohio, serving as a little league coach in both Moraine and West Carrollton. He also served the community as a member of Parks & Recreation Board throughout the 1970s. He was a loyal fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Browns and NASCAR. His hobbies included fishing, movies, drag racing, car shows and spending time with his family.

Ed was a dedicated and loving father of two daughters, Denise Renee (Marsh) Woolen and Corina Roseanne Marsh. He supported them wholeheartedly throughout their growing years. Ed was a devoted and caring grandfather to six grandchildren, Benjamin Perry Gordon IV, Odyssey Adina Gordon, Brittany Megan Sherrard, Samantha Nicole Tewksbary, Marisa Kaitlyn Boyer and Michaelah Re’Ann Woolen. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Felecia Ann Marie Gordon, Jack Taylor Gordon and Lana Elizabeth Banks; and two brothers, Michael Marsh of Miamisburg, Ohio, and Jacob Marsh of Lakeland, Fla.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his infant son, William Duane Marsh, who was a twin to Corina.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the Miamisburg Assembly of God, 501 Ninth St., Miamisburg, OH 45342.
