Dear Editor,
I wanted to take a minute to thank each and every one of you for your support and belief in me. You will never know how much your faith that I could make the sheriff’s department a better place means to me.
We didn’t get the outcome we wanted, but it is a new day. I hold myself to the highest of standards, and I was not willing to let those standards drop. That is not the person I am or the person I will ever be.
We ran a clean campaign and my family and I fought hard. At the end of the day, being my wife’s husband, my kids’ Dad and my grandkids’ Pappy means more to me than any other title.
