Softball roundup: Noblesville falls to Tipton

Noblesville dropped a 7-2 game to Tipton, the No. 9-ranked team in Class 2A, on Thursday.
The Blue Devils scored first, getting a two-run home run in the second inning. The Millers got on the board in the third inning, when Chloe Tragesser hit a sacrifice fly to send Cheney Gertz home.
Noblesville tied the game in the fifth inning, with Abby Brown batting in Rylie Moore. But Tipton homered again, this time for three runs in the sixth inning, and kept the lead from there.
Brown was 2-for-4 at the plate.
The Millers are 12-9 and will play at the Bishop Chatard Tournament on Saturday.

University wins fourth straight game

University beat Traders Point Christian 11-1 in five innings on Thursday.
With the win, the Trailblazers are on a four-game win streak and are 6-8 for the season.
