Sheridan High School and Middle School went into lockdown on Wednesday for approximately five minutes. The school reported emergency personnel were on scene immediately after a student prank generated their response.
Although school officials did not confirm, the Reporter received information the incident involved a fake gun.
Sheridan High School Principal Jane Newbloom stated that all protocols and procedures were followed and students were never in danger.
The incident remains under investigation.
