Noblesville Schools Board Meeting Highlights, May 20, 2025

The school board has responsibility for major district functions including school district governance and oversight, setting school policies, approving funding, strategic planning, and hiring and evaluating the superintendent.

  • The board had several recognitions including Teachers of the Year, Assistant Principal of the Year and student honors for National Merit, music, journalism, yearbook and art. The board also received a special recognition themselves from the Indiana School Board Association.
  • Promise Road Elementary staff presented on their school culture.
  • Noblesville Youth Assistance Program (NYAP) leaders presented on contributions and support NYAP has provided for Noblesville students.
  • Assistant Directors of Learning Jen Walton and Lauren Smith presented on the new English language arts (ELA) program review and the new ELA curriculum was approved by the board.
  • Executive Director of Marketing and Communications Marnie Cooke presented on Engaging Community Relations as part of a new series of monthly reports on the Noblesville Schools Strategic Plan.
  • Updated employee and student handbooks were approved.
  • Meal prices were updated to address rising food costs. Breakfast pricing increased 10 cents and lunch pricing increased 20 cents. The district still offers free and reduced meal pricing for families who qualify.
