Following a candidate forum with FOP members present, FOP membership voted to endorse Christine Pauley, Carmel’s Fiscal Officer and Executive director of the Local Public Bond Bank, for Hamilton County Council District No. 4 council member. They sated that she is the most qualified, experienced financial candidate to represent public safety officers.
According to a press release, Pauley’s prior finance experience involving the National Defense industry both for US Navy and Raytheon Company, and currently as Carmel’s top fiscal officer, makes her uniquely qualified to begin working on day one for the county’s citizens.
Pauley serves on the Police and Fire Merit and Pension Boards, handles the unique public safety officers’ payroll and pension programs, negotiates the capital leases for police and fire vehicle requirements and manages the reporting requirements for FEMA grants to name just a few of the common responsibilities.
“I wish to thank the members of Hamilton County FOP 103 for their endorsement of my candidacy for HC District 4 race,” Pauley said. “The honor of your vote lies in the democracy of your leadership to allow each member’s voice to be heard in your endorsement. I will continue to work hard to support the men and women who form the thin blue line, including two nephews.”
According to Pauley, the citizens of District 4 have been served well under the leadership of Paul Ayers, who has also endorsed her candidacy.
Pauley told The Reporter, “It’s imperative we elect a finance business professional with a proven leadership record who will serve the citizens of District 4 and not developers nor special interests.”
The primary election is May 8.
