Local high school artists’ work on display at IU Kokomo gallery

The creativity of nearly 70 north central Indiana high school juniors and seniors is showcased in the Indiana University Kokomo Art Gallery’s 27th Annual High School Art Exhibition.

The exhibition continues through Wednesday, April 2 in the Gallery, located in the IU Kokomo Library Building, 2300 S. Washington St.

The exhibition includes work by students from eight schools, in media including drawing, painting, ceramics, mixed media, and more.

Locally, 21 students from three high schools took part in the exhibition.

  • Guerin Catholic High School: Abbie Beuter, Karen Molinar, Caroline Norvanis, Lilly Richardson, Annabelle Snyder, and Olivia Spomer
  • Sheridan High School: Noah Barrick, Lucy Cooper, Anna Knochel, Allison Luna, Alexis Muller, Zora Shepard, and Scarlett Wittbrod
  • Tipton High School: Arabelle Capes, Lucy Lightfoot, Alliah Moore, Savana Morris, Adam Naden, McCartney Sherard, Lorelai Tragesser, and Taylor Turner

The exhibition is free and open to the public in the Gallery from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The Gallery is closed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Visitors are invited to vote for the People’s Choice award winners by ballot available at the Gallery’s front desk. The winner will be announced in early April.
