Noblesville Youth Baseball is inviting the community to attend its Opening Day on Saturday, April 19.
The festivities begin at 9 a.m. with bounce houses, live music from Mik the Music Man, and entertainment on Field 5 by Brad Farber of Farber Productions. Kids can enjoy a great time in the Nathan Suddarth Kids Zone. The NWMS Band, led by Stacey White, will perform to energize the crowd.
Local leaders will gather at Bobby’s Bullpen for a ceremony at 9:30 a.m., after which teams will line up on Field 7 for the Parade of Teams, representing their respective grades.
At 10 a.m., the official Opening Ceremony will commence. Adrienne Colla will welcome all attendees and take a moment to honor those who contribute to the success of the league, including the Board Members and Executive Board. Additionally, NYB will recognize community members and companies that sponsored the new scoreboards.
A special highlight of the event will be the presentation of the Bobby A. Mills Person of the Year Award, followed by the Stutesman Award, which recognizes both the 2023 winner, Jeff Stutesman, and this year’s recipient, Aiden Shamo.
At 10:25 a.m., everyone will look to the sky for a possible flyover by Sky Dive Indy (pending confirmation). Shortly after, the NWMS Band will lead the National Anthem at 10:30 a.m., culminating in the ceremonial first pitch.
Before the games begin, everyone will join in a league-wide sing-along of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” at 10:35 a.m.
NYB’s Opening Day celebration will reflect the strength of our community and the joy of the game, and showcases the hard work of the volunteers, coaches, and families who make it all happen.
Noblesville Youth Baseball’s fields are located behind Hazel Dell Elementary School, 3025 Westfield Road, Noblesville.
