In the past two weeks, Sheridan’s Middle and High School music departments delivered outstanding performances that highlight the talent of the choir and band students.
On Feb. 27, the choir students took the stage for an evening of beautiful harmonies. Under the direction of Libby Doublestein, the students performed a selection of music that captivated the audience. Also during their performances, select students performed their ensembles from the District and State ISSMA contest.

This concert focused on music from around the world. In addition to English, they sang in four other languages, and had a number of folk songs from various countries and traditions. Both high school and middle school students showcased their hard work and dedication, which left a lasting impression on the families, friends, and community members that attended.
On March 6, it was the band’s time to shine. The band concert featured an array of pieces that put on display the students’ range and skill. The band members performed with such enthusiasm that they were able to bring the music to life. This is a testament to their talent and the guidance of their band director, Patrick Cronin.
