The district and state solo and ensemble competitions at SHS provide students with valuable performance experience. These events also allow students to gain constructive feedback from expert judges, pushing them to continue improving and pursuing their musical passions.
With their strong performances in February’s events, SHS’s music students continue to build on their success. The school’s commitment to providing students with opportunities to grow, compete, and excel sets the stage for even greater accomplishments in the future. Both choir and band directors, Libby Doublestein and Patrick Cronin, shared, “We are so proud of all of the students who participated in Solo and Ensemble this year. They all worked hard and devoted time to practice and performing. Their efforts benefit them as musicians and as people who learn to achieve their goals in life!”
Students and the community can look forward to another exciting performance with the band concert at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 6 at the high school. These events will showcase the incredible talent of the music program, and everyone is encouraged to attend and support the hardworking students.
