The Guerin Catholic track and field team hosted its own Invitational on Saturday.
The Golden Eagles boys team won their division of the meet, scoring 158 points. Guerin won five events, including a tie for first in the 100 dash. Dylan Crossen and Ronald Jackson both clocked in at 11.84 seconds; the result was also 18 team points for the Golden Eagles.
Quinn Gallagher won the 1600 and 800 runs, while Crossen also triumphed in the 200 dash. Matthew Fletcher finished first in the high jump.
Hamilton Heights placed third with 99 points and got two individual wins. Mitchell Walbolt paced the 3200 run, and Brandon McQuinn led a 1-2 finish in the pole vault, with Isiah Kunzer taking second. University scored 16 points; Zack Hodgin took second in the long jump.
In the girls meet, Guerin Catholic was second to Norwell, which scored 160 points. The Golden Eagles scored 112, with wins from Grace Gjerde in the long jump and Reagan Nay in the pole vault.
Heights finished third by scoring 102 points. Markaela Pugh won the 200 dash and Lauryn Wiley was first in the discus. University scored 14 points, with Charlotte Kumler taking sixth in the 1600 and 3200 runs.

Carmel girls take first at Charlie Riley Invitational
The Carmel girls track and field team won the Charlie Riley Invitational, which took place Friday at North Central.
The Greyhounds scored 139 points, with the Panthers runners-up at 115. Carmel won three events, starting with Kara Deady, who placed first in the pole vault with a new record of 12 feet, 6 inches.
The Greyhounds’ other winners were Amiyah James in the high jump; her best leap was 5-4. Carmel also won the 4×800 relay, where Phoebe Bates, Maddie Dalton, Sydney Haines and Anna Morozov clocked in at 9:25.40.
“On a night were the meet ran long, our girls showed great patience,” said ‘Hounds coach Aaron McRill. “Everyone contributed to the win and it was nice to see things come together as a team.”
Carmel’s boys finished second at the meet, scoring 83 points to North Central’s 126. Isiah Baxter was the Greyhounds’ lone winner, finishing first in the 200 dash with a time of 22.99 seconds.
