The Hamilton Southeastern track and field teams swept the girls and boys championships at the Bill Self Invitational at Franklin Community Friday night.
In the girls meet, the Royals easily outdistanced second-place East Central 191-118. Southeastern won four events in a new meet record: Tierra Sydnor in the 400 dash, Camille Christopher in the 200 dash, the 4×100 relay team of Olivia Burgess, Sydnor, Mia Mackenzie and Christopher), and Kennedy Drish in the pole vault. Also, Jessica Bray was second in the pole vault under the old meet record.
Mackenzie swept the 100 and 300 hurdle events, Lulu Black paced the 3200 run and Valerie Obear was the discus winner. Southeastern’s Ellie Pedersen, Brooke Ratliff, Samantha Alphine, Annice McFarland placed first in the 4×800 relay, as did the 4×400 relay team of Burgess, Mya Hammons, McFarland and Sydnor.
In the boys meet, Noah Malone swept the 100 and 200 dashes. Madison Norris took the 110 hurdles, with Nathan Smith pacing the 300 hurdles. Other winners included Brady Jarosinski in the 1600, Chase Maxey in the long jump, Johnny May in the discus, the 4×100 relay team of Maxey, Norris, Jack Boyd and Malone and the 4×400 relay team of Jackson Sweeney, Jake Ledford, Nick Bowman, Bostock.
