University improved to 2-0 in Pioneer Conference play with a 12-0 five-inning win over Muncie Burris Friday at McCulloch Park in Muncie.
The Trailblazers scored one run each in the top of the first and second innings, then let loose for four runs in the third and six more in the fourth. Dawson Estep hit a triple in the fourth inning to score two runs; he finished the game 4-for-4 (a triple, a double and two singles), batting in three runs and scoring another two.
Ben Ewer and Nate Shatkowski both had two hits and scored two runs, with Garrett Hill and Brock Moore also scoring twice.
Moore pitched three innings for the win, striking out six.
University is 5-3 overall and hosts Western Boone on Monday.
