Junior varsity baseball results

The Carmel junior varsity Blue baseball team defeated Center Grove 12-7 in a five-inning game that was shortened due to darkness.
Sophomore Michael Uhrig got the start and pitched three and two-thirds innings and freshman Mitchell Henneberry picked up the win pitching one and one-third inning of solid relief. The Greyhounds were led offensively by sophomore Hunter Keip who went 3-for-4 with two home runs and six RBIs.

The Fishers junior varsity Silver team topped Hamilton Southeastern 25-6 in five innings on Wednesday in the final game of a two-game series. The Tigers came out aggressive scoring two runs in the first inning off of an Ian Willoughby RBI single and an Evan Carmona RBI double. HSE fought back with two runs of their own that inning.
Fishers broke away from HSE for good in the second inning, batting through their order twice and scoring 13 runs. The Tigers where led by Matt Bryant in the inning who hit a two-RBI home run and an RBI double and Jack Braun who had a double and single in the inning as well. Fishers was up 15-2 heading into the third inning when they added another eight runs due to drawing eight walks and four batters being hit by a pitch. The Tigers went on to score two runs in the fifth inning after drawing three more walks mixed with some aggressive base running.
Carmona, Bryant, and Braun all had two hits apiece to lead the Tigers in hitting, while Bryant led the team with five RBIs on the night.
Zach Pearson pitched all five innings. He allowed six runs on 10 hits, while striking out five.
Fishers will play a doubleheader at Kokomo on Saturday, starting at 11 a.m.
