Dear Editor:
When considering a person for a position that represents a large number of people, I look for someone who not only shares similar beliefs and values, but someone who can pull from a variety of life experiences. This allows a person to better reflect the people they are representing.
A school board member carries a tremendous responsibility as they are an ear and a voice for the staff, students, families, and the community of which they represent.
Brad Helvey will do this well as he comes from a family of educators; is a degreed teacher; a successful business owner; a parent to Noblesville students, athletes, and musicians; a husband of an Noblesville employee; the best uncle to a nephew with special needs; a member of a Noblesville community church; and someone who cares deeply about Noblesville Schools and its future.
I can’t think of a better person to actively represent the wonderful community of Noblesville as a member of the Noblesville School Board.
