Cross country: University boys blaze through own invitational, girls take second place

The University boys cross country team won its own invitational on Tuesday.

The Trailblazers had the individual winner and three other finishers in the top 11, helping them to a team total of 45 points, just ahead of runner-up Herron’s 54 points. Finlay Reid was the individual champion, finishing the race in 16 minutes, 14.3 seconds. Henry Wang and Mario Buoscio placed eighth and ninth, while Walter Wilson took 11th.

University’s girls team placed second with 60 points; Herron won the meet by scoring 21 points. Laurel Gough-Mckeown led the Blazers by placing third, while Kelley Trowbridge finished sixth.
