Take the Fall Foliage Tour with Hamilton County Historical Society

Join members of the Hamilton County Historical Society on their annual Fall Foliage Tour from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20.

This year, participants will travel to northern Hamilton County to enjoy the fall scenery and learn from local historians about the history of the area.

First, gather at the Roberts Settlement Chapel, 3102 E. 276th St., Atlanta, at 2 p.m. to hear about the newly opened Legacy Walk exhibit. Visitors will then travel to the Hamilton Heights History Hall, 420 W. North St., Arcadia, to learn about school history in the area, and then lastly to Arcadia Depot Museum to learn about the Nickel Plate Express as well as local businesses like Arcadia Glass, 107 W. South St.

Participants will be responsible for their own travel, but the society encourages carpooling with other groups. There will be an optional dinner gathering afterwards at Northbrook Brewing, 119 W. Main St., Arcadia.

RSVPs are requested (call the museum at 317-770-0775 or email info@hamiltoncoinhs.com) before Oct. 16. The event will occur rain or shine and is free of charge, although cash donations are accepted for the Historical Society, Roberts Settlement, and the Arcadia Depot.
