Cross country: Several county teams get weekend conference wins

The Noblesville girls cross country team won the Hoosier Crossroads Conference meet last Saturday at the Chanquipan Ridge Course at White River Elementary School.

The Millers scored 69 points, just ahead of Franklin Central’s 74. Hamilton Southeastern’s Elizabeth Butler was the race winner, clocking in at 18 minutes, 10.1 seconds.

Fishers’ Sam Quagliaroli won the boys’ race in 15:05.0. Noblesville’s team finished second to Brownsburg.

The University boys won the Pioneer Academic Athletic Conference championship last Saturday at the Trailblazers’ course, scoring 31 team points. Finlay Reid won the individual boys race in a time of 16:55.9.

The Huskies’ boys team placed a close third in the AA Division with 98 points, just behind West Noble’s 94 and Wawasee’s 96.
