Reno Family Dentistry to provide free dental care for veterans & military

Serving those who serve: free dental cleanings, exams & more in Carmel

Submitted

Reno Family Dentistry will participate in Freedom Day USA by offering free dental care to veterans and active-duty military personnel on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

Services include free cleanings, exams, X-rays, fillings, and necessary extractions as a way to thank the men and women who have served their country. The event will take place at the practice’s office, located at 698 Pro-Med Lane, Carmel.

Addressing the dental care gap for Veterans

Dental care is a significant unmet need among veterans, with the American Dental Association reporting that only 9 percent of veterans have access to VA dental benefits. Many veterans face long-term oral health issues, including tooth decay, gum disease, and oral infections, which, left untreated, can lead to more severe conditions such as heart disease and stroke. By providing free services on Freedom Day USA, Dr. John Reno and his team aim to close the gap in access to care for local veterans.

Community & service at the heart of Reno Family Dentistry

Reno

Dr. Reno’s commitment to giving back goes beyond Freedom Day. He regularly volunteers at the Trinity Free Clinic in Carmel and the Heart and Soul Clinic in Westfield, both of which provide free healthcare to underserved populations.

“Giving back to my community is deeply important to me,” Reno said. “Through events like Freedom Day, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of those who have served.”
