The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office has announced that Deputy Coroner Ashley Taylor completed the American Board of Medical Death Investigators (ABMDI) certification.

The ABMDI is an independent professional certification board established to promote the highest standards of practice for medicolegal death investigators.

ABMDI certifies individuals who have the proven knowledge and skills necessary to perform medicolegal death investigations as set forth in the National Institutes of Justice.

To achieve her certification, Taylor has acquired specialized knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in the standards and practice necessary to properly conduct medicolegal death investigations.

Taylor has worked for the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office for 2.5 years and Madison County Coroner’s Office for 13 years.

Taylor is one of only six active deputy coroners in Indiana to achieve ABMDI certification.
