Carmel & Noblesville to hold annual White River Clean-Up at Conner Prairie

The Carmel Department of Stormwater Management invites you to join on Sunday, Sept. 15 for the 30th annual White River Clean-Up.

Pick up trash while canoeing and make an immediate positive impact on the White River. Pre-registration and a $15 refundable deposit are required for this event. Deposits will be refunded with confirmed event attendance. Register at whiterivercleanup.com.

All volunteers should be able to paddle a canoe and traverse river banks. Upon arrival at the event site, canoes, gloves, trash bags and bottled water will be provided. Volunteers will receive a free T-shirt while supplies last. Volunteers who register for the City of Carmel Clean-Up Team will check in at Conner Prairie at 8 a.m. All volunteers will be shuttled to the White River Canoe Company where they will launch in a canoe and float back down to Conner Prairie.

  • You do not have to be a Carmel or Noblesville resident to participate in this event.
  • The canoe trip will last two to three hours.
  • Wear sturdy shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting messy.
  • Participant 16 years of age and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Personal watercraft or walking clean-ups cannot be accommodated at this event.
