Noblesville Fire Department responds to residential fire

Shortly after 4:40 a.m. Saturday, the Noblesville Fire Department responded to reports of a residence fire in Suburban Estates off of State Road 19.

As firefighters arrived, they were able to see smoke and flames coming from the residence. The first unit on scene was an on-duty Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputy, who with the help of neighbor assisted one of the residents from the fire.

Noblesville firefighters located a second occupant in the structure and helped him from the home. Firefighters were able to control the blaze quickly and kept the fire from extending to any of the nearby structures.

One resident was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis in critical condition.

The value of the loss in dollars is unknown at this time.

Firefighters remind homeowners to ensure they have working smoke detectors.

Assisting agencies included the Cicero Fire Department and the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
