Nasty weather once again struck Hamilton County late afternoon Thursday. Almost four inches of rain were reported, caused by slow-moving thunderstorms which flooded parts of central Indiana. Rain was relentless in the Indy Metro area and from Danville to Muncie. Traffic on Interstate 465 at Fall Creek Road ground to a halt with the high water.

Here are some rain totals relayed by the National Weather Service:
- 3.82″ Lapel, Hamilton/Madison county line
- 3.45″ 75th & Shadeland in Marion County
- 3.00″ Fishers
- 2.50″ Danville, Hendricks County
- 2.50″ Muncie, Delaware County
The nasty weather comes the same week an EF-2 tornado tore through eastern Hamilton County and into Madison County. That tornado caused damage to trees, a barn, and a corn field, and then struck the Frankton Lapel Administration Building where significant brick wall and roof damage occurred.
