Irish dancers gather in Indy. Éirinn go Brách!

The highest level is Open Championship (OC). Dancers do either reel and hornpipe or slip jig and treble jig. OC dancers must also dance their set dance. At this level, it is possible to qualify for Worlds. (Reporter photos by Anna Mitchell)

Richens/Timm Academy of Irish Dance held their 26th annual Indianapolis Feis on June 8 and 9 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Thanks go out to Irish Dancers of Indianapolis and other participants and the numerous volunteers who made this event such a success.

Younger dancers compete at grade levels. They do reels, slip jigs, light jigs, hornpipes, treble jigs, and a traditional set (which is often St Patrick’s Day).
