Westfield Washington Schools thanks 12 retiring teachers & two instructional assistants

Westfield Washington Schools (WWS) has announced the retirement of 12 dedicated teachers and two unwavering instructional assistants, whose collective 305 years of service have significantly shaped the district and community.

These remarkable educators have not only imparted knowledge and inspired countless students but have also become integral members of the WWS family. Their commitment to excellence in education and their relentless dedication to students have left an indelible mark on the hearts of everyone in the Westfield community.

The retirees include:

  • Tammy Drummond (Westfield Intermediate School) Bookkeeper – 22 years of service
  • Cindy Gritton (Central Office) Administrative Assistant for Student Services – 24 years of service
  • Jo Ann Neff (Central Office) Operations Assistant – 19 years of service
  • Carolyn Wood (Washington Woods Elementary School) Second Grade Teacher – 28 years of service
  • Jennifer Paul (Oak Trace Elementary School) Music Teacher – 23 years of service
  • Jacqueline Hiatt (Oak Trace Elementary School) Second Grade Teacher – 15 years of service
  • Diana Callahan (Oak Trace Elementary School) Second Grade Teacher – 21 years of service
  • Michelle Foster (Westfield Intermediate School) Special Education Teacher – 25 years of service
  • Steve Stafford (Westfield Intermediate School) Special Education Teacher – 11 years of service
  • Christine Hofeling (Virginia F. Wood Early Learning Center) Speech & Language Pathologist – 37 years of service
  • Mark Sands (Westfield High School) Band/Music Teacher – 26 years of service
  • Robert Lonsinger (Westfield High School) Math Teacher – nine years of service
  • Tonya Coy (Westfield Middle School) Instructional Assistant and Job Coach with The Shamrock Project – 24 years of service
  • Janet Schuetter (Oak Trace Elementary School) Instructional Assistant – 21 years of service

“The impact of these dedicated educators extends far beyond the classroom,” Superintendent Dr. Paul Kaiser. “Their commitment and passion have helped shape the lives of our students and have enriched our school community. We are immensely grateful for their service and wish them all the best in their well-deserved retirements.”
