SERVE Noblesville is back for its sixth year of “connecting compassionate neighbors” from June 27 to 30, and it is seeking volunteer groups, team leaders and projects for the four days of service. Applications are being accepted through March 31 at servenoblesville.com under the “How to Serve” tab.

Last year, the volunteer-led coalition of neighbors, churches, businesses and other organizations mobilized more than 750 volunteers to tackle 56 projects in and around Noblesville. Organizers expect the 2018 event to continue to grow.

“Participating in these projects creates a sense of pride and ownership in Noblesville for all of those involved,” said Patrick Propst, SERVE Noblesville chairman and a pastor at Faith Community Church.

Projects run the gamut from assembling nutritional meals for the food panties to completing critical home repairs. Once specific projects are identified for 2018, organizers work to line up funding and materials. Volunteers can register to serve on projects that appeal to them in June. Although advance registration is recommended, onsite signup is available each day at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds.

Applications are being accepted now through March 31 for the following:

  • Team leaders – those willing to lead a group of volunteers on projects
  • General projects (not related to home repairs)
  • Home repairs and construction
  • Groups – register your group to come serve together
  • Corporate partners – choose one of multiple ways your business can offer support
  • Restaurant partners – help provide an onsite lunch each day to volunteers

Once applications are submitted, SERVE Noblesville organizers will follow up with additional questions and next steps.
