DeCamp supports Mark Hall for County Council

Dear Editor:

I’m excited to announce my support for Mark F. Hall for Hamilton County Council, District 3! After a long conversation with Mark and reviewing his background, here’s why we need him on our County Council:

Integrity

From 31 years in the Army, I’ve learned that even the toughest mission must be accomplished with total honesty, or the outcome is jeopardized. The demanding work that public servants face requires selflessness. Without this rare virtue, vendor contributions and backroom agreements can take their toll on integrity. We need a fresh voice and someone of Mark’s character to be handling the people’s money. I have complete confidence in Mark’s integrity.

Experience

A 30-year resident of Noblesville, Mark has built multiple companies which today employ hundreds of Hoosiers. Having overcome challenging conditions in the marketplace, he has emerged stronger, and will apply invaluable knowledge from the private sector to his public responsibilities. He has met large payrolls, paid taxes, created budgets, controlled spending, and increased efficiencies. Just what Hamilton County needs!

View of government

Mark holds a limited view of government – one which is large enough to fulfill its responsibilities, and then STOPS. The relentless growth of even local government squeezes the taxpayers and constricts their pursuit of happiness. Mark will be an effective voice for lower taxes and will represent the citizens instead of big vendors that do business with the county. Mark’s view of government is a significant part of my support for his candidacy.

Family and virtues

Mark is a husband, father and grandfather. He and his wife are members of Harbour Shores Church, and volunteer with Shepherd Community Center, Freedom School, Truth at Work and several Humane Societies. We need more people of his caliber in public life, and I look forward to seeing Mark go to work on our Hamilton County Council!
