Last Saturday, Atlanta was packed with eggs and young hunter-gatherers for the town’s annual Easter Egg hunt. With over 85 kids – not to mention their families – over 2,000 eggs, and a bunch of prizes, this was the town’s biggest hunt yet!
The event was sponsored by the Town of Atlanta, Atlanta Wesleyan Church, and Atlanta Christian Church. According to Clerk Treasurer Jennifer Farley, a company from Kokomo donated a free year of pest control as one of the prizes. Farley also told The Reporter there were abundant eggs, candy, refreshments, and prizes donated by the sponsors and by individual residents.
“The community all came together, the weather was beautiful, and lots of residents were involved,” Farley said. “It was a perfect day.”
According to Farley, the town had visitors from both Jackson Township Fire Department and the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department, which were on hand both to enjoy the festivities and keep everyone safe.
