Noblesville finished the regular season with a road victory on Thursday, beating Perry Meridian 52- 42.
The Millers led 13-7 after the first quarter. The Falcons trimmed that lead to 21-18 at halftime, but Noblesville stayed ahead in the third period 33-28.
The Millers then used foul shots to help outscore Perry Meridian 19-14 in the fourth quarter. Noblesville was a perfect 14-of-14 from the free throw line, with Zack Johnson going 8-for-8.
“I was proud of our team for finishing the regular season with a strong performance,” said Millers coach Brian McCauley. “Perry Meridian has athleticism and just had beaten a good Franklin team last Tuesday night. We rebounded well as a team and multiple players stepped up offensively.
“Ryan Barnes and Eagan Keever-Hill combined for 15 rebounds and eight points. Zack Johnson led us in scoring with 22 points. Brendon Fisher led us in assists with four and Xavier Hines made two important shots in the second quarter on his way to finishing with 15 points.”
Keever-Hill pulled eight rebounds for the game, with Barnes collecting seven.
“It was a great team win and hopefully we can continue to improve as we head into the sectional versus Anderson next Tuesday,” said McCauley.
The Millers finished the regular season 10-13 and will host Anderson at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the first game of Sectional 8.
