The Noblesville gymnastics team competed at the Connersville Invitational on Saturday, finishing sixth out of 10 teams.
Freshman Makayla Kauzlick finished sixth in the all-around with a score of 34.80. She also placed fifth in the uneven bars and the highest Millers score of the day, earning a 9.15 on the floor exercise. Olivia Mangin led the way on the vault with an 8.625.
“We had a great day today,” said Noblesville coach Jody Ramey. “It was a day we needed for our confidence levels to increase, especially after the fall of all the team injuries early in the season. My only disappointment was that we fell just short of Roncalli, which is a team we beat earlier in the season. Of course we made our mistakes, but we were able to do so well at the same time, just setting our team up for the big day. I am very proud of this team today.”
The Millers will travel to Franklin Central on Thursday for their next meet.
